What happens in episode 23
Yu Changxuan discovers his father sent someone to kill Ye Pingjun and threatens his own life to stop it; his mother, Zhao Baoru, talks Yu Zhongquan down.
Two years pass. He has drawn up a marriage certificate, put a ring on her finger and sat by her bed day and night. Cheng Jun has fallen from power, Chu Wenfu has lost influence, and Mou Linsen has allied with Chu Wenfu.
Ye Pingjun wakes with amnesia and gets headaches whenever she hears his name. He tells her they met by chance and fell in love, and glosses over her mother's death.
They sleep in separate beds. He helps her rebuild the strength in her fingers by stringing beads. Jin Zhongfang warns him with a comparison to a gambler.
