Editorial policy
How C-Drama Notes chooses sources, writes recaps, handles spoilers and corrects mistakes.
Sources we use
- Episode recaps: the published Chinese episode synopses on TVmao (电视猫) and Baidu Baike (百度百科).
- Release dates and episode counts: official announcements from the platform, broadcaster or production, and TV listings.
- Cast and characters: official character profiles and the production's listed cast.
- Novels: publisher and encyclopedia details of the original novel; we summarize, we never reproduce the text.
- Where to watch: the platforms' own pages and JustWatch, checked on the date shown in each table.
We don't use pirate or re-upload sites, leaked episodes or rumors. Fan theories are not presented as facts.
What "not confirmed" means
When a source doesn't state something, such as a daily release count, a region's availability or how a TV ending differs from the novel, we write "not confirmed" instead of estimating. We replace it once an official source settles it.
How pages are written
Pages are written in our own English from the sources above: no events, quotes or details that the cited sources don't contain, and the source list stays on the page.
Spoilers
- Ending pages open with a short no-spoiler answer (happy, sad or open ending) before any details.
- Detailed spoilers come after that answer under clear headings, and some guides keep them in collapsed sections you have to open.
- Sensitive topics, such as suicide or violence, carry a content note.
Corrections and updates
If you spot a mistake, email qwqjsshd@gmail.com with the page and the source. We fix confirmed errors promptly; the "Updated" date on the page changes when its content does.
Independence and advertising
We aren't paid by platforms, studios or publishers to cover a drama or to say anything about it. Where advertising runs, it is served by Google and doesn't affect what we write. If we ever add affiliate links, we will label them on the page.
Copyright
We don't host or link to episodes, post screenshots or posters, reproduce song lyrics or post novel translations. Rights holders can contact us and we will respond.
